Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking&Financials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.91% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which rose 5.00% or 0.200 points to trade at 4.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 3.45% or 0.012 points to end at 0.360 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.52% or 0.360 points to 14.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 7.14% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.156 at the close. Edegel (LM:EDE) declined 4.10% or 0.080 points to end at 1.870 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was down 0.71% or 0.150 points to 20.850.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 8 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.00% or 0.200 to 4.200.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.07% or 0.68 to $64.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.90% or 0.62 to hit $69.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.26% or 16.70 to trade at $1339.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.06% to 3.2175, while EUR/PEN rose 0.80% to 3.9036.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.11% at 90.64.
